Hello, we’d like to ask your help with mental health signposting.
We know that during the winter months there could be additional pressures on your practice and your teams. The Hertfordshire Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Health and Care Partnership has designed a website that might alleviate some of those pressures, and help your patients during the winter season.
Often, patients will turn to their GP and other clinicians/professionals to ask for signposting for mild mental health conditions. To assist your patients, we recommend taking the following actions: adding the flyer attached and this link to your practice website’s front page. They both have helpful mental health signposting which could lead patients appropriately away from the practice towards relevant community services.
We also ask that you add the screensaver provided to your public screens. It provides patients with QR codes that will lead them directly to the website, if needed.
Our aim is to increase awareness of community care services and make the process of connecting with those services easier for those needing them, and possibly free up your teams and phone lines.
In addition, we would also ask that you share with clinicians, reception, and patient facing staff for their own resources to share when asked what is available. And if possible, please display in your waiting rooms
Yours sincerely,
Herts MHLDN Health and Care Partnership
